20th Century Blueberry Slump

4 c Fresh or frozen blueberries
Rinsed and drained
3/4 c Sugar
3 tb Butter
1/2 c Milk
1 c Flour
1 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt - divided
1 c Sugar
1 1/2 tb Cornstarch
1 c Boiling water

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Place blueberries in 9 x 13 x 2 inch baking pan.

Mix the 3/4 c sugar, butter, milk, flour baking powder and 1/4 ts salt to batter consistency. Pour over fruit.

Mix remaining 1/4 ts salt, 1 cup sugar, cornstarch. Sprinkle over top of batter. Pour boiling water over all.

Bake one hour (Longer if berries are frozen). Batter will be browned on top when done.
