Blackberry Cake 2 c. sugar
1 c. butter or margarine
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. blackberries
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and beat. Add dry ingredients which have been sifted together. Put soda in buttermilk and add alternately with dry ingredients. Add blackberries last. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Makes 1 large loaf. When cool, frost with powdered sugar frosting to which you have added some additional blackberries! Very good.
