Blueberry Betty

1 qt. fresh blueberries, washed and drained or 2 (9 oz.) pkgs. frozen blueberries with no sugar added
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2-4 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. flour
Few grains salt
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine, room temperature

Place berries in a deep, 1 1/2 quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole. Sprinkle with lemon juice and sugar to taste. Heat, covered, in microwave for 3-4 minutes. (If frozen berries are used, heat an additional minute.) Stir in cornstarch until smooth. Sift flour, salt, cinnamon, and brown sugar together into a small bowl. With a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle mixture over berries. Heat, uncovered, in microwave for 6 to 8 minutes or until topping is no longer doughy. Turn casserole 1/4 turn after each 2 minutes cooking time.
