4 c Flour
1 1/2 c Sugar
1 lb Butter
3 Whole Eggs
1/2 ts Baking Soda
1 ts Salt
2 cn Pie Filling -- Cherry or Blueberry
Sift together the flour, salt, and baking soda.
Cream the butter and sugar until light & fluffy.
Add the sifted dry ingredients, mix well. Add the eggs, 1 at a
time, incorporating well after each addition.
Spread 2/3 to 3/4 of this dough in the bottom of two 13 x 9 x 2"
greased pans.
Spread 1 can of pie filling over dough in each pan. Drop the
remaining dough, in little pieces, here & there over top of each cake.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
