Oregon Gooseberry Chutney

1 cn (16.5 ounces) OregoN Gooseberries
1/2 c Brown sugar
1 tb Plus 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
1/8 ts Salt
Spices:
Ground allspice
Cinnamon
Ground cloves


Combine gooseberries, sugar, vinegar and salt in saucepan.

Simmer for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

During last 10 minutes: 1/4 of 1/4 (don't overdo) of each of the spices to follow:

May be packed in sterile jars for storage or kept in the refrigerator.
