Fresh Strawberry Sauce

2 c Strawberries, sliced
2 tb Sugar
1 1/2 ts Cornstarch
1/4 ts Rum flavoring


Combine strawberries and sugar; cover and chill overnight. Drain and reserve juice. Add water to juice to equal 1/2 cup liquid. Combine liquid with cornstarch; stir until dissolved. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and clear. Stir in strawberries and rum flavoring. Serve warm or chilled.
